Groupage shipments
What is a groupage shipment?
Often it is costly to a send a small consignmentt. However by combining a number of shipments or removals a furniture truck or sea container can be loaded in the most economical way. Each consignment will be charged on the basis of its volume. This method is is the most cost efficient way of moving.
Coordination
We, as removal co-ordinators, monitor at the time of each request, if the consignment fits in our planned routes and dates. In the schedule on the left of this page you will find our booked European and overseas destinations. Please note that, in the case of groupage shipments, we are unable to guarantee fixed loading and unloading dates. If fixed dates are of the utmost importance to you we are talking about a dedicated removal. At the bottom of this page you can read more about these removals.
A complete removal on a consolidation / groupage basis
It is possible to have a complete removal organised in a groupage transport. As we publish an outbound and inbound planning your complete household removal can be scheduled in. If you book your removal with us on a groupage basis we will then search for further loadings for the outbound or return journey. This mode of transport is financially the most attractive way of transport for parties involved. However, there must be some flexibility on your part. If this is not possible we recommend you to contact us to discuss other possibilities.
Not publicised removals and shipments
Most of the removals and shipments (65%) are not transported or shipped as groupage. The collection and delivery times are of primary importance and are therefor not suitable for groupage. These dedicated removals and or containers are therefore not included in our schedule.
Dedicated removals and shipments
Mondial Eduard Strang has been performing and customising removals for the last 120 years, this also applies to all international removals and overseas shipments. Dedicated removals are loaded and unloaded as scheduled and agreed to. The speed of the relocation and the desired loading and unloading dates are two of the key issues why clients choose for a dedicated removal. We will be looking forward in informing you further on these possibilities while we listen to your specific needs.
